For those of you who are complete Guitar Hero freaks...and there are lots of em, Red Octane is releasing Guitar Hero Encore, which will feature songs from the 80's. I don't know how "final" this list is, but I have the song list:
To me, this list is very dissapointing. I will have a series of posts explaining why later. But in a nutshel, way too many posers. The 80's had so much great punk and metal, I feel like the genre is poorly represented here. read more »
Guitar Hero II comes with a guitar. It retails for around $80. Kind of expensive for just one game, but it's way worth it. I ended up buying a second guitar so we can play head to head. It's kind of like Dance Dance Revolution except you use your fingers to fret each note and pick the string with your other hand. I've already made it through the easy and medium levels. I'm on the hard level which has proved to be extremely challenging. I checked out a few songs on the Expert level and it seemed really, really hard. read more »

If you like to rock, and you like video games you need to check out Guitar Hero II. This is the funnest game I've played in a long time. I play guitar, so the game seems pretty natural to me. But my 11 year old, picked it up very quickly. I think it's a great idea. Teaches you about rhythm, songs, classic bands, etc. as well as being a blast to play.
