I was at my friend’s house yesterday. We were hanging out rocking the new discs. We noticed something unusual. Seems to be a trend lately to get a way from the standard jewel case packaging. My friend was throwing a fit about these new packing techniques. Nowadays, more and more discs come in these cardboard contraptions. Like the new Peeping Tom for instance. Very cool concept and a great design. But good luck fitting this disc on the shelf with your others. The new Tool is the same way. Way to big to shelve. Not to mention it’s packaged more like a book than a CD. You gotta wonder if they are doing it so you’ll leave the CD out and you’ll listen to it more? Or are they just trying to annoy my friend?
