Dillinger Escape Plan News

Dillinger Escape Plan are currently writing material for the group’s fourth studio LP, the follow-up to 2004’s Miss Machine.

Although things are being delayed because guitarist Ben Weinman’s been unable to play for close to two months. Ben just had rotator cuff surgery, so he’s just starting to be able to pick up his guitar.

It sounds like Dillinger Escape Plan could be back in tour mode by April, but there are no definite plans yet. For the time being, he says Dillinger will continue crafting fresh tracks for the forthcoming disc, which they hope to have out by the fall.

There are also Two Dillinger DVDs in the works: one featuring pre-Miss Machine material and videos and another filled with footage captured during the making and touring in support of Miss Machine. It’s unsure when those DVDs will be released.  read more »

MP3 Blog Listing

As promissed in an earlier post, I was going to discuss some of the ways to find free MP3’s online. This one is a doozy. It is a wiki called MP3 Blog Listing.

It basically is a giant list of blogs who include MP3’s on their site. There are a ton of them listed. This should keep you busy for days.  read more »

Hummer Can't Buy a Tune

Those ugly, obnoxious, gas guzzling Hummers have been trying to get bands to be in their next commercial. They’ve had nothing but bad luck.

They offered to pay Portland band the Thermals $50,000 for their song “It’s Trivia” to be used in a commercial. They said no.

They also offered to pay Washington DC’s Trans Am $180,000 for their song “Total Information Awareness.” They said no.  read more »
