One of the most legendary shows I ever saw was Fear in the 7th Street Entry. All original guys. Punk in it's most truest form. Those guys rule. I love Lee Ving. Check out this live video clip recordied in New Jersey in 1981. Songs include Beef Bologna, New York's Alright If You Like Saxophones and Let's Have A War. Killer. Legendary.

I love the way everyone just moshes right on the stage.

One of my all time favorite CD's is Sonic Youth Dirty. Love it. If you don't have it in your collection, there's a problem. Pick it up. Here's one of the songs from that record performed live on Jools Holland. Sonic Youth Sugar Kane. Sweet.

Here's a classic Black Sabbath video from 1973. It's a video for the song Sabbath Bloody Sabbath from the album of the same title. Pretty cool stuff, didn't know they even made videos back in 73. Cool footage...great song. I've been on a huge Sabbath kick since the Heaven and Hell tour.

It's tough these days to find new bands that are cool. I seem to be buying old classics from the 70's and 80's lately. A few of the new bands that I like are:

  • Gojira
  • Between the Buried and Me
  • The Red Chord

What else is good? What are you listening to?

Hands down...Spinal Tap. I know you've seen it, you quote it all the time. Best rock movie ever? What's your thoughts on the subject?

What is the most legendary concert experience you've ever had?

Mine was first row for Metallica on the Master of Puppets tour. I got to meet them all afterwards, Cliff too. I have all of their autographs to prove it.

I’ve been a huge Black Sabbath fan my entire life. They can do no wrong. I’ve seen em with Ozzy, I even got to see them with Ian Gillan on the Born Again Tour. They were great…they will always be great.

I have tickets to see them this weekend at the Target Center on the Heaven and Hell tour. I’m a little confused on what they are going to play. I love the Dio years, but is there enough for a great concert? I dunno, we’ll see. I’ll post a review on Monday after the show.

Gotta love Black Sabbath!
