Queens of the Stone Age have a new CD out titled Era Vulgaris. I haven't had a chance to pick it up yet, but it's on my list...along with Bjork and Tomahawk.

Rolling Stone had an exclusive interview with Josh Homme. Give it a read.

"You are six-foot-five, yet you don't dwarf anybody in the band.
We used to have a height requirement. Seriously. It isn't like Dio's band, where there was Keebler Elf magic going on. We have more of a Harlem Globetrotters feel to us."

I always love it when I'm watching a movie and Lee Ving appears. Fear is one of my favorite bands, and Lee Ving has been in quite a few movies now. I was watching Fast Sofa yesterday, which has Jake Busey, Crispin Glover, Jennifer Tilly and Fear.

The scene is Crispin and Jake are in some crappy bowling alley. Crispin is bowling, Jake is hitting on a 16 year old, and Fear is playing I Love Living in the City.  They also play Rodeo. Pretty cool.  read more »

If you like to rock, and you like video games you need to check out Guitar Hero II. This is the funnest game I've played in a long time. I play guitar, so the game seems pretty natural to me. But my 11 year old, picked it up very quickly. I think it's a great idea. Teaches you about rhythm, songs, classic bands, etc. as well as being a blast to play.

Guitar Hero II comes with a guitar. It retails for around $80. Kind of expensive for just one game, but it's way worth it. I ended up buying a second guitar so we can play head to head.

It's kind of like Dance Dance Revolution except you use your fingers to fret each note and pick the string with your other hand. I've already made it through the easy and medium levels. I'm on the hard level which has proved to be extremely challenging. I checked out a few songs on the Expert level and it seemed really, really hard.  read more »

Here's a vintage video of Ziggy era David Bowie performing Starman live. I'm not sure what television show this is from. I think it's circa 73.

I love the hair and the outfits. Plus the stage setup with everyone dancing behind them. Plus the drums and keys are in the front. Seems a little odd. Great footage, good quality and cool to see if you're a Ziggy fan.
